GET INVOLVED IN CALVARY CHURCH

OUR MINISTRIES

Plug into God's work locally, nationally, and internationally!

Get plugged into calvary church!

"Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others,  as good stewards of the varied grace of God. If anyone speaks, let it be as one who speaks God’s words; if anyone serves, let it be from the strength God provides,  so that God may be glorified through Jesus Christ in everything. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 4:10-11

Sunday Services & Connect Groups

Dress is informal at all our gatherings

Connect Groups (For All Ages) – 9:30 am
Worship Gathering – 10:30 am

Calvary Church loves to welcome all. We’d love to get to know you outside of church, so be sure to come early and join us for fresh coffee and fellowship. At 9:30, we have our Connect Group classes. There are many to choose from. If you have children, they will enjoy the Sunday school. We have TEAM kids for children aged 4-12, BASE youth for teens aged 13-18.

Wednesday Midweek Fellowship

Supper – 5:45 pm (no meals during school breaks)
Team Kidz – 6:30 pm
Calvary YOUTH – 6:30 pm
Young Adult BASE (Belief, Abide, Serve, Evangelize) – 6:30 pm
Adult EQUIP Groups – 6: 30 pm

Attending our Wednesday fellowship is a great way to be spiritually refreshed midweek. Come early, hungry, and enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal at 5:45 pm. After a good meal and fellowship, we break up into groups. The Adult EQUIP groups are separated into men’s and women’s groups, where they either study the Bible or go through Christian books together. The children, youth, and young adults meet in their groups to study the Word, memorize scripture, and pray.

DLT (Doing Life Together) Groups

Our DLT groups were created to help believers strengthen their relationship with God and deepen friendships. These groups consist of 3-5 men or women who meet weekly for 1.5-3 years to read scripture, share, encourage, and disciple. These groups meet in different areas of Many. We always encourage new groups to start. The attendees follow a curriculum.

Fifth Sunday Prayer

Every fifth Sunday of the month, we have a special time of prayer at 6 pm. We meet in different homes in the area.

Agape Recovery

Calvary Church hosts an Agape Life Recovery Meeting, which is an anonymous Bible-based support group available to anyone affected by their own addictive behavior or someone else’s. Everyone is welcome to attend, no matter their life issue or addiction. Meetings are held once a month on the 3rd Tuesday, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Calvary Church.

Mississippi River Ministry

At Mississippi River Ministry, our goal is to engage the community with the region’s churches, evangelize, and serve others, including children and families in need. We have been doing so for 25 years. Through prayer, volunteers, and mission trips, we’re able to help others and spread the love of God and the Gospel. Some of our hands-on missions include backyard Bible study, light construction and home repairs, vacation Bible school, worship service, work with the homeless, and much more.

One of our most renowned mission opportunities is the annual Christmas Backpacks for children. Churches and organizations supply backpacks filled with items such as food, school supplies, clothing, and hygiene products. We then deliver the backpacks to ministries serving children in need of food, clothing, and daily essentials.

Operation Christmas Child

Our church has been involved with Operation Christmas Child for many years. It’s a great family event! We collect gift-filled shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse, which distributes them to children in need worldwide and has given away over 244 million since 1993. Participants pack toys, school supplies, and hygiene items for children ages 2-14, with a National Collection Week held annually in November.

International Missions

Calvary Church is involved in several international missions in Honduras, Central Africa, and Uganda. We are also supporting a couple in a closed country in the Middle East. Our heart is to reach the world for Christ, and we’re always looking for new opportunities to serve and send those who have a passion to see the Gospel proclaimed locally and globally.
